ROSINSULIN M MIX is a combination of 30% Regular insulin and 70% NPH (insulin isophane). Regular insulin is a short-acting insulin and NPH is an intermediate-acting insulin. Rosinsulin M Mix is used to control blood glucose level in adults with types 1-2 diabetes. It starts to work within 30 minutes after the injection, reaches its peak in 4-12 hours and acts up to 24 hours. Rosinsulin M Mix lowers the high blood sugar and prevents it from further increase by enabling the glucose to be used as a source of energy or stored as a glycogen.

DESCRIPTION

Rosinsulin M Mix is an human insulin analog suspention - a combination of 30% Regular insulin and 70% NPH (insulin isophane) - with a short onset and intermediate duration. It forms the insulin-receptor complex by interacting with the specific receptor of the outer cell membrane. This complex increases the synthesis of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) (in fat cells and liver cells) or directly penetrates into the cell (muscle), thus stimulating intracellular processes, including the synthesis of key enzymes (hexokinase, pyruvate kinase, glycogen synthase). The reduction of glucose level is provided by the increase of glucose transportation inside of the cells, by its increased absorption and assimilation into the tissues, by stimulation of lipogenesis, glycogenogenesis, protein synthesis, decreased glucose production by the liver (decreased glycogen breakdown).

PACKAGING & DOSAGE

Rosinsulin M Mix comes in the form of a solution for injection at a dosage of 100 UI/ml. Active substance: human recombinant insulin - 100UI excipients: protamine sulfate 0.12-0.20mg, sodium phosphate dihydrate, 0.26 mg, crystalline phenol 0.65mg, m-cresol 1.5mg, glycerol (glycerin) 16mg, water for injections 1ml.

For subcutaneous injections in the abdominal region.

The dosage and method of injection are administered individually basing on the individual's blood glucose monitoring results. The medication is injected 15-30 minutes before meals. The site of injection should be changed in order to prevent the development of adipose tissue degeneration.

Dosage: 0.5-1 unit/kg/day.

The solution should be used only if it is uniformly white and cloudy, and reached room temperature.
