DESCRIPTION

Melanotan-2 is an analog of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (a-MSH) and acts as a non-selective agonist of the melanocortin receptors, which influence pigmentation, inflammation, energy homeostasis, appetite and sexual function: MC1, MC3, MC4, MC5 activates the central melanocortin, which in turn triggers melanogenesis, and skin tanning occurs. Melanotan II reduces the serum levels of cholesterol and insulin, increases cholesterol metabolism and fat catabolism.

PACKAGING & DOSAGE

Melanotan-2& comes in the form of vials containing 10 mg of lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Powder for injection is prepared with water solution for subcutaneous intramuscular, or intravenous administration. The solution for injection is prepared by dissolving the powder in the vial by adding 2ml of water for injection.

The usual dosage range is 0.5 to 2.0 mg/day, with a preferred range of 0.5 to 1.0 mg/day. Therefore 1 flacon will last for around 10 days.
