Giaferon does not affect the performance of activities requiring special attention and quick reactions (driving vehicles, machinery, etc.). Interferon alpha-2b human recombinant is a protein obtained by recombinant DNA. The polypeptide structure of the molecule, biological activity and pharmacological properties are identical to leukocyte interferon alpha-2b. Interferon alpha-2b human recombinant inhibits the intracellular stages of the development of herpes simplex virus type I and II, chlamydia, gardnerella, mycoplasma and ureaplasma, has antiviral, immunomodulatory and antibacterial effects.
Method of application and dosage
Before use, wax paper is removed from the suppository or the cell packaging is cut. For herpes infection: 1 suppository rectally or vaginally 2 times a day, daily for 10 days. For chlamydia, gardnerellosis, mycoplasmosis, ureaplasmosis: 1 suppository 2 times a day vaginally daily for 20-30 days.
Interaction with other drugs
The drug Giaferon is effective as a component of complex therapy. In combination with antibacterial and antiviral drugs, it allows to achieve a high therapeutic effect.
Cases of overdose of the drug Giaferon have not been reported.
The drug is well tolerated and does not cause a pronounced side effect. With a daily dose of interferon alpha-2b over 10000000 ME, such phenomena as chills, fatigue, loss of appetite, sweating can be observed. In these cases, it is recommended to consult the attending physician to reduce the dose of the drug.
