Although edible, chaga mushroom is not commonly consumed due to its bitter nature. Instead tea made from the whole mushroom is more popular. Bioactive compounds isolated from chaga include polysaccharides, terpenoids, lignans as well as oxalic, gallic, protocatechuic, and p-hydroxybenzoic acids. Chaga demonstrated antitumor, antimutagenic, antiviral, antiplatelet, antidiabetic, immunomodulating, anti-inflammatory, and pain-relieving properties in vitro.
Chaga Mushroom comes in the form of tea bags: 1.5 gram per tea bag, 20 tea bags per pack.
1 tea bag (1.5 gramm) per 1 cup (200 ml) of boiling water, leave for 15 minutes, squeeze the tea bag, take 1/4 cup (50 ml) for adults 4 times a day or 1/2 cup (100 ml) 2 times a day, or 1 cup (200 ml) of the once per day with meals. Duration of admission is 1 month. If necessary the intake can be repeated. Store the tea in the refrigerator.
