AROMASIN® (Exemestane) is used to treat advanced-stage or metastatic hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women and early-stage breast cancer in postmenopausal women after undergoing anti-estrogen therapy. DESCRIPTION

The active substance of Aromasin is Exemestane - an irreversible steroidal aromatase inhibitor, similar to the natural androstenedione. It works by binding irreversibly to the active fragment of the aromatase enzymes and inactivating it. Exemestane does not possess progestagenic and estrogenic activity. Aromazin does not affect the biosynthesis of cortisol and aldosterone in the adrenal glands, which eliminates the need for replacement therapy with glucocorticoids and mineralocorticoids. The decrease of estrogen level stimulates the secretion of gonadotropins in the pituitary gland, including in postmenopausal women.

PACKAGING & DOSAGE

Aromasin comes in the form of tablets. Each tablet contains active ingredient Exemestane (25 mg). Excipients: mannitol, hypromellose, polysorbate 80, crospovidone, colloidal hydrated silicon dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethyl starch, magnesium stearate.

For oral administration.

Recommended daily dose is: 25mg 1 time/day after meals.
